a not so brief history of kevin j bergeron

kevin bergeron has experience in making movies for over ten years. he started very modestly with a VHS camcorder and his friends in the back yard. from there he moved to ctv20, a community access cable station in londonderry, nh. there he learned how to use a live control deck to record for a television show, the cameras used to record the shows, and the deck-to-deck editors for cutting the shows. meanwhile, kevin took high school classes to further his experience. he took part of a magazine-style program that aired on the same ctv20 cable station. he used deck-to-deck editors and VHS camcorders. he graduated from londonderry high school in 2001.

kevin bergeron then found himself at keene state college to major in film production and minor in computer science. during his stay at ksc, he learned the more intimate details of filmmaking including (by trial) how to make due with a smaller budget and improvise. he attended 3 production classes and numerous studies classes including (but not limited to) analysis, director studies (sam peckinpah, sam fuller), digital editing. his production classes were a) super8, hand-cut b) super 16 with added sound effects and music, hand-cut c) digitally cut 30-minute production across the span of a full school year. he played the roll of assistant director mostly, sound, camera and lighting whenever he was needed.
